Another 40th anniversary? YES! And we couldn’t be more proud.

This time we’re celebrating Sue, the heart of our Parts Department. She is the third person to reach the 40-year milestone with Hamilton Manufacturing Corp., and we are incredibly lucky to have her as part of the Hamilton team. If you’ve ever ordered a part from Hamilton, chances are good Sue helped you. She wears many hats in the Parts Department. From answering calls and emails, picking and packing parts, and helping with inventory, she does it all.

When Sue started at Hamilton in 1985, she worked on our older-style validators. Specifically, she built sub-assemblies, repaired them when needed, soldered, and made harnesses (crimped and cut wire). She also built the first stacker that Hamilton Manufacturing Corp still uses today! Sue also worked in production, building machines (this was before we had electric lifts and was very labor-intensive!)

Also in 1985, the first version of Microsoft Windows debuted. Michael J Fox starred in the first Back to the Future. And in September, the first episode of the Golden Girls aired.

Internally, Sue is known as being incredibly kind, caring, and a lot of fun to work with. Congratulations, Sue! It’s an honor and a privilege to get to work with you every day!
